Galaxian PC remake

Galaxian appeared in the ‘70s as a result of NAMCO’s creativity and innovation. Those who never played Galaxian in its golden age surely stumbled upon another version of it, like Space Invaders or Galaga. Galaxian is a fixed shooter with vertical orientation and a cocktail cabinet design. Electro-mechanical shooting arcade games from NAMCO are quite alike (see Shoot Away), but Galaxian knew a larger success.

Upon release, Galaxian outperformed one of the most popular arcade games of the time – Pac-Man. The intense gameplay and simple game graphics are worth reconsidering in today’s age, just for the sake of remembering the feel of playing genuine arcade games.
